OMG! Thank you for your GRACE! You came through again!
In such a hurry to get the chicken in the oven, run to the store to get aluminum foil, stop by the post office to mail invites to my next Scentsy Hostess Appreciation Event, finish my business supply order, and chat with my husband who was watching me on the hamster wheel before I had to leave for bible study in an hour... I did IT! OMG!!!!! I did IT!!!! The unspeakable!!!! Unthinkable!!! IT!!!!!! You know like walking out of the restroom with toilet paper on your shoe!!!! Ahhh! But that was not IT! (That was last week at church. LOL)
No this was the BIGGIE of all BIGGIES. And the sad thing is that I spoke this into my life!
The bible says, As a men speaketh so is he. ...... So why have I joked about
The BIG ONE so many times even though I had never done IT, and never wanted to do IT?
Why did I let those HORRIFYING WORDS flow out of my mouth, and Laughed!!!
Well, IT came to pass......!!!!! I got the chicken in the oven, finished my business supply order, grabbed my coat and mail, told my hubby I'd be back in a minute, and ran out the door.
I jumped in the car and decided to go to the post office first. As I got one block from the Post Office I looked in my rear view mirror. OMG!!!
Where is my WIG??????
OMG!!!!!!!!!! In the recesses of my mind I see it back at home next to my laptop! Ahhh!
Thank God I had a hoodie under my coat! Talk about a belly laugh!!! When is the last time you had one by the way? Have one on me!
Anyway, the people in the Post Office probably wondered why I was standing in line chuckling to myself. OH Yeah, I went on to the Post Office. LOL
But, I was laughing so hard when I came out that I forgot to go the the store. My husband and I laughed a good while when I got home. Thank God for GRACE and a Hoodie!
Lesson learned this side of 50: Do not entertain thoughts about things I do not want to come to pass. Sister Joyce Meyers says, Just think about something else!
This is something I can/will apply to every thought that is not of good report...every thought that does not line up with what God says about me and what He wants for me.
You can too. Just think about something else. No worries! Think about something else.
Love ya
Thank you for taking the time to laugh with me and at me. It does a body good!

The Mind Matters over 50.
You know, I just love Joyce Meyers. She points out that our daily Battlefield is the Mind.
Joyce says, we are in control of our thoughts and we have to be watchful about what we allow ourselves to think moment to moment.
Last week as I pondered this notion I realized that over the past 50+ years I have gone through some terrible situations with loved ones getting hurt, getting turned down for opportunities, or loans, etc,... having people laugh at me, and more .....ALL IN MY MIND!
Why do we let our mind take us to the worst possible scenarios????......Why go to those thoughts that make us have hot flashes, blood pressure go up, heart pounded fast and more? WHY????
Then come to find out that our family is fine. We get the opportunity. We get the loan. And no one laughed at us!
Why on earth did I entertain in my mind the worst possible scenario.
(I know I am the only one who does this.)
Why couldn't I flip that and think the greatest possible scenario?
Because I did not choose to think deliberately.
I will think deliberately now. I control my thoughts. I know that God has good plans for my life.
(See Isaiah 55:8,9), so in order to walk with Him and experience His good plan for me, I must learn to think as He thinks(see Romans 12:2).
It is impossible to change my lives unless and until we change our thoughts.
I must Be vigilant on this side of fifty! I'll have more peace than ever before.
How about you? Want His peace? Let's say what He says about us and what we are to have in our lives.

Lordy, Lordy, you want to be Forty!
Oh Lordy, to be Forty! How Nifty to be Fifty!
I remember when I was a kid. I use to see the elderly ladies being helped across the street by the boy scouts.
I thought those ladies were like, FORTY years old! And I mumbled to myself, "I don't want to be that old." OMG!!!!!!
When I was 39 you better believe I had long conversations with the Lord about my bad math, and thoughtless request. (Grace)
I realized that those ladies must have been around 150 years old at least. LOL
So, I asked the Lord to resend my request. (Mercy, please!) You can imagine my delight the day after my 40th birthday that He let me live! Thank you, God!
It is funny. The older I get, the older... OLD is. I am not old. And I love being in my 50's. I wonder how old I look to my sons? Probably decrepit! LOL Maybe that is why they look at me funny when I bust a move... you know...dance like no body's looking.
Hummm I think I still got it on this side of fifty! Thank you, God.
